Mods Gone Wild: The KiltedMusicLover Came to Town!

Last Thursday I was very pleased to meet The KiltedMusicLover himself in the flesh! He and his wife had been vacationing here in the West and I, The F-H.C.A.G. and little Xena were able to meet him and his lovely bride at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Nelson and I at the Monterey Bay Aquarium's "Wild about otters" exhibit

Nelson and Stephanie enjoying the kelp forest exhibit:

In the tide tunnel with Xena:

As we left the Monterey Bay Aquarium I was delighted to see none other than TV Chef Alton Brown! He was there for a special weekend program at the MBA. Now I’m a huge “Good Eats” fan but it was obvious he had just arrived and was working with others involved in this event. As much as I would have liked to shake his hand I thought that the nicest thing I could do as a fan was to show him some respect and not bother the fellow. The lovely Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess was able to snap this picture:

Friday Morning Nelson and I sat down to do a little Moderator business and pondered what to do about the Grant situation.

We came to a satisfactory conclusion:

We had a great visit and we were glad for the opportunity to meet Nelson (and Stephanie) face to face and spend time with friends

    Cheers

    One last picture

Little Xena and I went out to the workshop to make a new addition to our train yard in honor of Nelson's visit:

TOO much fun!!! LOL BTW, Thursday and Friday night as well as most of the day Saturday was spent getting solar panels on the boat. I *had* to do it, but I gotta say that I was bummed to miss out on this.

I wonder what the tartan would look like, in a thread patten similar to that snake? Looks like you had a very nice day. I'm also a big fan of Alton Brown.:food-smiley-002:
