$195-$315 22oz winter kilt has anyone bought WPG
I've been wanting a winter kilt and came across "What Price Glory". They have a 22 oz kilt with high waist military cut, (keeps the kidneys warm) sewn to stripe. The Gordon Highlanders is cheap at $195, I realy want the Cameron Highlanders Regimental Kilt at $315. Has anyone bought from them? I know they have been around for years but never bought from them as of yet. Below site address to home page and kilt page. http://onlinemilitaria.net/ http://onlinemilitaria.net/shopdispl...=150&cat=KILTS It's getting cold any info would be great. Mike

I picked up a WPG Mackenzie on Ebay. Unfortunately I need to lose another 10 lbs to get into (hopefully by winter), but I've seen a couple and talked to several folks who have them - a really good value for the money. I really like the military box pleat!! The fabric is heavy enough to keep one warm on the coldest days.

I have the WPG Black Watch that I purchased a couple of months ago. The service was excellent, I believe it was Steve, emailed me to let me know that he did not have the kilt in my requested length but one a bit longer. If I wanted to try it I could and if it did not fit, he stated that I could return it. While the quality of the kilt is not on par with my hand sewn kilt, the quality is still very good. I wore it to friends birhthday party here in Atlanta this past August we were outside on a patio and i did not melt. I also ordered the khaki hose and the brown day wear sporran and the quality is very good. The buckles and straps look a little cheap but they accomplish the task. I will order from WPG again and I think you will be pleased. I will post pictures of it when I have some made. The pictures from the party did not turn out.

I have one of the WPG Gordans and really do like it. This is my first kilt, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I don't notice the heat in the summer.
Two items of note:
I don't know the exact term, but the material isn't "worsted", it has a slight nap to it which is slowly disappearing with wear. I don't mind this at all, but you should be aware.
It has a high rise, which means that while seated, the top can press up into your ribs. This thing is heavy and with a lot of structure, and I've noticed that it has only started "yielding" to my body after several wears. It fits even better now.

I picked up the Cameron last year, when it was mistakenly listed at $195
