Texas Renaissance Festival Highland Fling - Nov.15-16
This weekend (11/15-16) is Highland Fling at the Texas Ren Fest .
http://www.texrenfest.com/themedweekends.html
We'll be there both days, camping on Sat. night. If any of the area rabble is going, look us up! It can be hard to find anyone at the faire, but here are 2 places that I can generally be found: 11:30 at the Sea Devil Tavern for the Iris and Rose show. and at the Prince of Wales Pub after the parade.
Order of the Dandelion, The Houston Area Kilt Society, Bald Rabble in Kilts, Kilted Texas Rabble Rousers, The Flatcap Confederation, Kilted Playtron Group.

Ugh. I really wanted to go to this, but my bachelor party is the same day. Any other TRF stuff going on I should be aware of? I've only been once, and it was awful, thanks to the drunken antics of my friend's mother. I'd like to go without her there so I can enjoy myself.

My wife and I are planning on attending on Saturday. Looks like a cool front will keep the temps down into the high 60's to low 70's. Sunny and clear. Should be a great day!

Based on the theme, it's a good guess that there will be plenty in filibegs and filimores this weekend. But, Thanksgiving weekend, on November 28, 29, and 30 (the only Friday event), the theme will be a Celtic Christmas - another kilt thing for sure.

Funny enough, that's the weekend of my wedding. There will be at least a few kilts there.
