Kilts of Florida in September?
Not sure about the rest of you, but August looks like a very full month for me, so I was wondering what folks thought about getting together in September.
Any weekend but the first weekend -- Labor Day weekend -- would work for my wife and I.
As I mentioned at our last kilt night, I have been to Liam Fitzpatrick's in Heathrow and I believe it would be suitable.
Or perhaps we should try something more toward the West Coast for the folks who live out that direction.

We talked about trying seafood before. Maybe we could give that a try for our Sept. meet up. I have just the place in mind. They have a GREAT menu and their prices are reasonable. Linda and I eat there quite often and recommend it highly. There are two locations and either would serve our purpose.

WOW, you can plan your life a whole month ahead of time!
I rarely know what my work schedule will be a week ahead of time.

A month is nothing. We do a quarterly magazine (among other things) and we have to keep that planned out a year in advance. Doesn't always work out, but if we didn't do that, we couldn't assure the quality of the content.
Anyway ...
Seafood sounds good to me.

I'm not trying to threadjack here, but do you any of you know how I could get a piece of the Florida tartan? My wife is from Gainesville and I'd like to make her a scarf or something. Please PM me if you can help, and to keep this thread on topic.
Thanks!

Florida doesn't have a state tartan.
Don't worry about the threadjack, piperdph. This thread was wondering off topic before you posted.
Now, what was the topic of this thread. Oh yes, seafood in September is fine with us.

Then it's seafood in Sept. The restaurant is called Cedar River now, it used to be Captain Bell's, same owners just a different name. Not run of the mill food.
Linda and I have been going there for years, and it is GOOD!
I will see which of their restaurants would seat us best and make the arrangements when the time comes, and be sure everyone has the best directions there. They are both easy to find!

There is a Florida tartan.
It was made official by Charlie Crist in 2006.
