There were pipers at my daughter's graduation (+)
My daughter graduated from University of Central Florida last weekend (magna cum laude, thank you very much ). Two pipers were part of the processional and recessional. So far as I know, UCF has no particular Scottish connection; someone in the administration must like pipes. They sounded really, really good - the acoustics in the arena were excellent, and the two pipers were very much in tune.
I didn't get any decent pictures. I found one on someone else's Flickr page (it's from the Spring graduation, but it looks like the same two gentlemen), but I'm unclear as to the etiquette regarding linking to someone else's photos, so I'll leave out the link for now.
Th pipersy were hanging out in the entry hall after the ceremony, and it seemed like they were getting as much attention as some of the grads! Lots of small children getting their pictures taken with them. It was a really nice addition to an otherwise, frankly, generic and somewhat dull graduation ceremony. Except for my daughter. Did I mention she graduated magna cum laude?

Reason: because I accidentally promoted her to summa cum laude the second time.
