Canmore Highland Games 2011

So I'm fortunate enough to be able to live within 3 hours drive of four highland games events over the course of the year. The labor day long weekend is the best one however. The Calgary games is on the Saturday then the Canmore Games is on the Sunday.

The Canmore games are by far the best of them all. The ceilidh at the end of the day is the best party! This year especially as one of my favorites the Mudmen were playing.

So some pictures of the day!

In future though, it would be preferable to put all your pictures of an event into one thread. This is easier to follow both for comments and as a visual representation. The limit of 10 pictures is per post, not per thread!

You're right. I didn't think about it that way. I tried to put more pictures than 10 in and for some reason didn't think about doing another post in the same thread.

I was there too! It was my first time at the Canmore games and it was a beautiful day in a fantastic setting - mountains all around. Thanks for the pictures; I'll try to dig some up too.

You definitely picked a great year to go. I've been going for the past 3 years and this year was the best/warmest for weather yet. Sometimes there's snow on the ground but it's usually gone in the afternoon.

I've love to see your pictures too.
