I think to order a dayware tweed Argyll jacket but I still hesitate over the choice of colour matching my Grand Lodge of Scotland tartan (see picture below). Having already a black Prince Charlie jacket, I tought that a bit clear tweed (lovat green or highland green for exemple) would offer a better contrast for daywear. But a charcoal grey would possibly be more versatile, especially for lesser formal evening dress...?
What's the advice of the rabble?
