Less formal!?!
So my fiance gets a call from David's bridal last night asking her about bridesmaid dresses and tuxes. I guess they have a deal if you rent tuxes through men's Warehouse where if you rent 4 tuxes, the 5th is free. She told the woman that the groom didn't need a tux because he was going to be wearing a kilt. The ladies response was, "Oh, you're going less formal."
My fiance promptly hung up. She knows what's up.

She (the sales clerk) probably doesn't even know what a kilt is!
Send her photo and knock her socks off!

2 things
1. Marry that woman... she sounds like a real keeper!
2. Have you considered kilt rental? There are many great rental businesses out there. Celtic Corner out of Cincinnati does rentals now.
3. Have you considered kilt borrow? Like the saying goes... the only thing better than having something is having a friend with that something.

Man, you live in Boulder. What can you expect? 50 square mile surrounded by reality. My advice- get the h**l out- fast! Oh, and marry that lady of yours ASAP!

She is a keeper for sure.
My friends and family have pooled together to buy me a kilt and Prince Charlie jacket. It's already on order from USAKilts!
As for Boulder, I've lived here my whole conscious life. There are some unique traits, but I don't think I could live anywhere else.

Boulder is actually wonderful. Too pricey but if you're already there, I'd stay. It is a little "Boulderish" but I got married in Boulder 20 years ago and would live there if I didn't have goings-on here in Denver.

I actually work in downtown Denver but my fiance works in Loveland. So Boulder is kind of middleish.

Nice!
I do have a PNW connection, but my name is due to the fact that I'm a firefighter (volunteer) and drive a Toyota Tacoma. But my mom is from Washington state (Kettle Falls) and my dad is from Portland, OR. All of my extended family is up that way.

Yeah, I'm sure I was just kidding. I've lived the Denver metro area my whole life, and Boulder is a thing to be made fun of, with your crazy environmental and health ideas and all. Of course, the bicyclers have seem to think they own the road or that the laws don't apply to them or something... but then again, Denver drivers have gotten the same way as of late. Well anyways, it sounds like your wedding is going to be great. Have you checked the Kilt Nights section lately? You ought to come down off the hill and go to see Angus Mohr with us next week!
