Less formal!?!
So my fiance gets a call from David's bridal last night asking her about bridesmaid dresses and tuxes. I guess they have a deal if you rent tuxes through men's Warehouse where if you rent 4 tuxes, the 5th is free. She told the woman that the groom didn't need a tux because he was going to be wearing a kilt. The ladies response was, "Oh, you're going less formal."
My fiance promptly hung up. She knows what's up.

She (the sales clerk) probably doesn't even know what a kilt is!
Send her photo and knock her socks off!

2 things
1. Marry that woman... she sounds like a real keeper!
2. Have you considered kilt rental? There are many great rental businesses out there. Celtic Corner out of Cincinnati does rentals now.
3. Have you considered kilt borrow? Like the saying goes... the only thing better than having something is having a friend with that something.

Man, you live in Boulder. What can you expect? 50 square mile surrounded by reality. My advice- get the h**l out- fast! Oh, and marry that lady of yours ASAP!

She is a keeper for sure.
My friends and family have pooled together to buy me a kilt and Prince Charlie jacket. It's already on order from USAKilts!
As for Boulder, I've lived here my whole conscious life. There are some unique traits, but I don't think I could live anywhere else.

I'd drop by the bridal shop and ask the lady if you pass muster! There is'nt much more formal than a pc and kilt. B t w what kind of accessories will you be wearing with your pc. You know, around here it did'nt happen if there are no pics.

Good show from your wife.
I think it came out wrong. What she said was "Oh, you're going less formal". What she meant was "I'm getting commissions on tuxes, not kilts."
Or maybe she's just seen the tablecloth kilts you see at ren faires.

How does she (and you) feel about having the Groomsmen in kilts also? Just a thought

It is even better if your friend is your size too!

LOL Great story!
I think David's Bridal gives and IQ test and if you pass they don't hire you.
My daughter is getting married soon so she wanted me to get measured for my tux. Since Davids displays them she thought they would measure for them so we go and the girls says "No we don't measure for tux's here, but you can go to Men's Wearhouse in the mall."
Great plan except Men's Wearhouse is in the SAME SHOPPING CENTER as David's Bridal. It's just around the corner. We got a kick out of that.
